Travel software provider CodeGen has revealed all of its operations are now available through Model Context Protocols (MCPs), making it the first enterprise travel platform to do so.

Hoping to set a “new standard for integration, flexibility, and interoperability”, CodeGen had already built an MCP server for one of its airline clients before it rolled it out to all operations.

Its first iteration saw the carrier’s chatbot agent seamlessly link to the Amadeus PSS, which allowed it access to real time flight availability and rates without a lengthy API integration.

In turn the airline can then open up its inventory and rates to any travel agency system without the need for building integrations such as NDC.

The systems in question can query a carrier’s system in natural language and access last minute offers, similar to NDC.

CodeGen believes that this will be the “future of inter-communication between airlines and travel agency platforms” as MCPs provide a universal interface for systems to communicate more efficiently.

The MCP servers for TravelBox will significantly reduce the amount of time it takes for other systems to connect to their customers reducing integration costs significantly.

It enables TravelBox to seamlessly coexist with other applications, enhancing workflow efficiency and user experience.

TravelBox customers will benefit from a dramatic reduction in development time when accessing other MCP compatible systems.

“This innovation allows our product stack to sit side by side within other enterprise applications, making travel operations easier to connect, embed, and scale,” said Yohan Welikala, VP at CodeGen.

“For our customers, that means faster integrations and lower overall costs.”

This milestone reinforces CodeGen’s commitment to delivering open, intelligent, and future-ready solutions for the travel industry.

CodeGen is a leading enterprise travel technology platform that empowers organizations to manage, distribute, and optimise their travel operations.

With a focus on innovation, scalability, and interoperability, CodeGen enables businesses to deliver exceptional travel experiences globally.
