Watkin Jones has agreed a development partnership with Latium Enterprises to deliver a 294-bedroom hotel in central Wimbledon.
The scheme will redevelop a former brownfield site on Worple Road and comprises an 11-storey hotel building.
Plans include guest accommodation alongside shared amenities such as a club lounge, gym, co-working space and café.

Watkin Jones said the development is targeting BREEAM Excellent certification as part of its sustainability objectives.
Construction is expected to complete in summer 2028. Watkin Jones said the project is forecast to generate around £40m of revenue for the group, at margins in line with existing guidance.
The Wimbledon scheme is the second development partnership between Watkin Jones and Latium Enterprises, following a hotel project on New Kent Road in London announced in January 2025.
Alex Pease, chief executive of Watkin Jones, said: “We are delighted to announce this scheme, our second with Latium Enterprises in the year, to deliver exceptional accommodation alongside well-conceived living spaces and amenities for residents.
“This development partnership continues to showcase our market-leading capability in delivering high quality accommodation projects. It also demonstrates our ability to collaborate with partners where we can leverage our skills, experience agile approach, whilst delivering against our strategy to diversify our revenue streams and continue to build a resilient business.”
