DUSIT THANI BANGKOK REOPENING: Dusit International, the Thailand-based hotel and property development company, has confirmed that its revitalized flagship Dusit Thani Bangkok will open on September 27. Fully rebuilt from ground up, as part of the Dusit Central Park mixed-use development, the hotel pays homage to its five-decade-long legacy and offers an elevated guest experience. Built on the same site as its predecessor, the new luxury hotel sports a new look and features 257 rooms (down from its earlier 517 units to create spacious rooms) with uninterrupted views of Lumpini Park. The rooms have designed by Andre Fu Studio, while Architects 49 Ltd. has designed the hotel. The hotel includes 10 restaurants and bars, a sky lobby on the 39th floor, a spa and more than 5,000 square meters of meeting and event space.

SMALL LUXURY HOTELS FORAYS INTO INDIA: Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) has expanded into India and has tied up with The MRS Group of Hotels. The partnership allows The MRS Group of Hotels to leverage SLH’s global distribution network and marketing capabilities and showcase its properties to a global audience. Three of MRS’ hotels — Suryagarh Jaisalmer (in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan), Narendra Bhawan Bikaner (in Bikaner, Rajasthan) and Mary Budden Estate Binsar (in Binsar, Uttarakhand) — will be integrated into SLH’s collection. MRS will also benefit from SLH’s exclusive partnership with Hilton.
