IHG’S DUAL-BRANDED HOTEL IN ORLANDO: IHG Hotels & Resorts has collaborated with owner Daiwa House Group to break ground on a new dual-branded EVEN Hotels and Staybridge Suites in Orlando, Fla. Slated to open in 2026, EVEN Hotel and Staybridge Suites Orlando Universal Blvd. will be located near the upcoming Universal Epic Universe theme park and Orange County Convention Center. Featuring a total of 288 rooms, the hotel will have a mix of upscale residential-style studios and suites of Staybridge Suites along with signature sleep experiences and wellness amenities of EVEN Hotels. The hotel will include an outdoor pool, a restaurant, an athletic studio and more than 4,000 square feet of event space. The groundbreaking of the hotel is the latest step in an agreement between IHG and Daiwa House Group to grow the Japanese real estate investor and developer’s portfolio in the U.S. IHG and Daiwa House Group have partnered with AC Hotel Developers and architect Baskervill for the hotel.
ZLEEP HOTELS TO REBRAND 14 HOTELS TO MARRIOTT: Peter Haaber, CEO of Zleep Hotels, has entered into an agreement with Marriott International through his hotel management company, Core Hospitality, to rebrand its 14 Zleep hotels in Denmark to the midscale Four Points Flex by Sheraton brand. Most of the hotels will be rebranded in December, with the rest to be rebranded in early 2025. The rebranded hotels will add more than 1,500 rooms and 10 new markets to Marriott’s portfolio in Denmark. The deal also makes Core Hospitality the largest franchisee for Marriott in the Nordic region.
HOLIDAY INN RESORT OPENS IN NEPAL: Holiday Inn has opened its first resort in Nepal with the opening of Holiday Inn Resort Kathmandu Budhanilkantha. Located in the foothills of the Shivapuri forest, close to Kathmandu city center, the resort is also situated close to the Shivapuri National Park. The hotel features 104 rooms and suites, along with multiple restaurants, a gym, an outdoor pool, spa, kid’s club and 9,300 square feet.
HEALTH RESORT IN SPAIN: Lanserhof, the company specializing in regenerative and preventative medicine and owner of health resorts, is celebrating its 40th anniversary with the groundbreaking of Lanserhof Marbella, its latest health resort in southern Europe. Located on the grounds of Finca Cortesin in Casares, Spain, the resort is expected to open in late 2026. The property will be designed by architect Christoph Ingenhoven. Lanserhof started its journey in Lans, Austria, where it opened its flagship location, going on to add properties in Tegernsee and Sylt in Germany.
