December 26, 2024

Nobu Hotel Palo Alto, an award-winning 73-room boutique hotel, has announced Chris Suarez as the hotel’s new general manager. An industry veteran with nearly 25 years of hospitality experience up the California coast, Suarez will oversee all aspects of the hotel’s operations including daily functions, ensure an exceptional guest experience, as well as manage and lead a dedicated team to maintain the highest standards of the Nobu brand’s globally known hospitality. Previously the Director of Sales & Marketing at Nobu Hotel Palo Alto, this appointment is especially exciting for Suarez.

“I am honored to step into this role as Nobu Hotel Palo Alto’s General Manager,” said Suarez. “Our team here is incredible, and my goal is to build upon the hotel’s existing success and continue to deliver unparalleled guest experiences that reflect the Nobu brand, our stakeholders, and the community of Palo Alto. I look forward to continued growth of our business to ensure the hotel remains a top luxury choice for corporate, leisure, and group travelers coming to Palo Alto.”

Prior to joining the Nobu team in 2019, Suarez’s hospitality career spans several notable properties throughout California and Arizona, including Stanford Park Hotel, Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley, La Costa Resort & Spa, Four Seasons Resort Aviara, Estancia La Jolla, Arizona Biltmore and more. Suarez’s attention to detail and ability to curate strong relationships with guests, team members and partners makes him a key asset to the boutique property.

In this new role, Suarez’s areas of focus will cover several key pillars to the property, including an elevated meetings experience for groups that synergizes with the technology evolution, the curation of signature hotel programming in guest Ryokan suite experiences, continued success of Nobu’s iconic culinary programming at Nobu Palo Alto restaurant, the activation of the restaurant’s Japanese-inspired outdoor Nobu Garden and much more.
