The island of Paros, located in the Cyclades, will welcome Greece’s first “Destination by Hyatt” hotel in 2026. Already established across North America, Europe, and Asia, the brand focuses on integrating its properties into their natural and cultural surroundings, while highlighting and supporting local communities.
Hyatt has partnered with Parostec, a family-owned construction company with over 160 completed projects in Athens and the Cyclades, to develop this hotel. Parostec will serve as both the owner and constructor of the property. The hotel’s management will be overseen by SWOT Hospitality, a Greek company specializing in the operation of luxury hotels across the country.
Scheduled to open in 2026, this new “Destination by Hyatt” hotel aims to enhance Paros’s appeal by offering a guest experience that blends premium quality with local authenticity.
Designed by Makridis and Associates, the hotel will draw inspiration from the Cycladic landscape. It will feature 50 rooms, including 25 suites, equipped with various amenities: 39 rooms will have private pools, and 11 will include Jacuzzis. The hotel’s facilities will include a restaurant, a themed dining area offering unique culinary experiences, and a spa dedicated to wellness and relaxation.
“This project will provide visitors with a unique opportunity to experience the beauty and culture of Paros while supporting the local community and promoting environmental care,” said George Oikonomopoulos and George Kangelis, co-owners of Parostec.
“We are thrilled with the upcoming opening of the Destination by Hyatt brand in Greece,” said Briana Swift, Regional Vice President of Development for Northern Europe at Hyatt.
