Shiji Group announces Kempinski Hotels has gone live on the WeChat Booking Platform through Shiji Distribution Solutions to power direct hotel bookings for Kempinski’s portfolio of luxury hotels.

BERLIN, Germany, October 12, 2021 – Shiji, a global leader in secure and scalable business solutions for the hospitality industry, has announced that with the expertise of Shiji Distribution Solutions, Kempinski Hotels in China are now live on the WeChat Booking Platform, which will power direct hotel bookings for Kempinski’s portfolio of luxury hotels.  

With the WeChat solution, guests in China will be able to use WeChat to book and pay for rooms at Kempinski properties around the world. The custom solution reflects Kempinski’s branding and is connected to their Central Reservation System (CRS).  

WeChat is the No. 1 mobile messaging application in China. With over 1.1 billion monthly active users, WeChat is a must-have channel to reach Chinese consumers looking to book travel products direct with the hotel.

They are able to provide a global solution for our hotels, that will significantly increase our direct distribution opportunities beyond traditional distribution channels,” said Riko van Santen, Chief Information Officer of Kempinski Hotels.
