Coury Holdings has launched Concert Hospitality, a new hospitality management company offering personalized guest experiences and operational support for full-service and select-service hotels.

Concert Hospitality will operate as an independent entity alongside Coury Hospitality, the lifestyle management company, and strengthen Coury Holdings’ mission to drive impact and revenue for hotel owners.

Aiming to maximize value for owners and provide efficient labor and operating models, Coury Holdings creates a work ethic where guest experience is prioritized.

The new company has an initial portfolio of four hotels, including Marriott Westlake in Dallas/Forth Worth, located in the DFW metroplex, Los Angeles and Columbus, Ohio.

Although Concert Hospitality is yet to add Coury Hospitality’s existing clients, the new brand is in talks with more hotel owners located in regions close to where Coury Hospitality already has significant presence in, like Texas and Oklahoma, Paul Coury, founder and CEO of Coury Holdings told HOTELS. By the end of the year, Concert Hospitality is aiming to have 10 to 12 hotels in its portfolio.

Concert Hospitality’s portfolio includes Marriott Westlake in Dallas/Fort Worth.

The demand from existing hotel owners prompted Coury to launch a separate company dedicated to select-service hotels, Coury said.

“While I’ve been building this company, we’ve made the commitment that we were going to exclusively service boutique and lifestyle properties and that’s the course we’ve stayed on. And we turned out a lot of business over the years for different hard branded or even a few limited-service hotels that just didn’t fit the model we were trying to build.”

Creating a new company and allowing it to have its own DNA, while absorbing the culture of Coury Hospitality, helps the company stay true to its mission, he said.

“We try to create a company with a different approach to its employee base, with some bonus programs at all levels of the company. We also have some negotiated property and casualty rates, excellent human or health benefits on a program that we’ve created that’s individualized per person. These are some of the little things that a lot of the limited service and hard brands don’t really put a lot of effort into,” Coury said.

Concert Hospitality will operate independently with its own dedicated resource team, which will be led by Chris Charbonnet as regional vice president of operations. Bringing more than 20 years of experience in managing branded hotel portfolios, including Schulte Hospitality Group, Aimbridge Hospitality, MCR Hotels and Prism Hotels & Resorts, Charbonnet will oversee strategic operations and collaborate with property teams to optimize performance.

Concert Hospitality’s sales team will exclusively serve the new brand and manage Coury Holding’s approach and interaction with hotel owners.

“Coury Hospitality has been an exceptional partner, managing our lifestyle hotels and transforming each property into a vibrant destination in every community,” said Mehul Patel, CEO of NewcrestImage, Coury Holdings strategic partner. “We’re thrilled for the launch of Concert Hospitality, which will allow us to collaborate even further on our growing portfolio of branded and independent hotels.”
