Opening this Friday (16 August), it will mark the salad bowl brand’s fifth bricks and mortar site in the capital.

The group also operates a single Deliveroo Editions kitchen in Battersea.

As with The Salad Project’s other sites, the Fenchurch menu will offer a range of customisable salad options, as well as grain and rice bowls.

Alongside this it will serve as the central hub for training new employees, providing real-life customer service and food preparation scenarios.

It will also house a menu development lab overseen by group culinary director Clementine Haxby that will allow ‘more agility to experiment with new ideas and improve existing menu items’.

“The Fenchurch Street store represents a significant milestone for us,” says James Dare, co-founder of The Salad Project.

“Not only are we expanding our reach, but we are also enhancing our ability to innovate and train our wonderful Salad Project employees.”

The Salad Project has ambitious plans to reach 20 sites by 2028.

Future locations will hire from the Fenchurch site, ensuring access to employees who have already completed the group’s training program.

“This location will be the heart of our growth and innovation, ensuring we continue to deliver the best possible experience to our customers,” Dare adds.

The Salad Project was founded by Dare and Florian de Chezelles in 2021 and launched its first site in Spitalfields.
