IHG Hotels & Resorts expands European portfolio with five new hotels

IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the addition of five new hotels to its European portfolio in collaboration with Grape Hospitality. This expansion will bring 810 new rooms across France, Spain, and Italy, under IHG’s brands, including voco, Hotel Indigo, and Crowne Plaza.

New Hotel Openings

Voco Madrid Centre Retiro – Madrid, Spain
The voco Madrid Centre Retiro, is the first voco hotel in Spain. This 193-room property features voco’s signature amenities, such as communal areas, simplified check-in and arrival gifts. Located near Madrid’s Retiro Park, it is conveniently positioned for visitors exploring the city.

Hotel Indigo Bordeaux – Bordeaux, France
Hotel Indigo Bordeaux offers 100 rooms in the Chartrons district. This hotel is the third Hotel Indigo property in France, and its location offers easy access to the local bistros, waterfront restaurants, and eclectic boutiques. It showcases the brand’s design reflecting the character of the surrounding neighborhood.

Hotel Indigo Florence – Florence, Italy
Hotel Indigo Florence, features 160 rooms and is located just a short walk from the main train station, Santa Maria Novella. The hotel offers easy access to key attractions like the Duomo and Ponte Vecchio. Moreover, the property includes a wellness center and conference facilities, catering to both leisure and business guests.

Hotel Indigo Barcelona Gran Via Plaza España – Barcelona, Spain
The Hotel Indigo Barcelona Gran Via Plaza España boasts, 189 rooms and is located near the Catalan Art Museum and close to the city center, offering guests easy access to art galleries, parks, and beaches. It is the second Hotel Indigo property in Barcelona, designed to offer guests a blend of modern comforts and local style.

Crowne Plaza Madrid Centre Retiro – Madrid, Spain
The Crowne Plaza Madrid Centre Retiro offers 168 rooms and it is located near Madrid’s Retiro Park, catering to both business and leisure travelers. This is  the second Crowne Plaza hotel in Madrid, providing guests with a central location and modern amenities.

Hotel Indigo now has 40 hotels open in Europe, with an additional 19 under construction. Voco, a newer brand, currently has 15 hotels open in the region, while Crowne Plaza has 88 hotels across Europe.

The new properties are designed to cater to both business and leisure travelers, offering modern accommodations in key European cities.
