A financial services and technology expert is joining the board of easyJet as a non-executive director.

Chakraverty is senior independent director at cyber security firm NCC Group and a non-executive director of investment platform AJ Bell and Starling Bank.

Her career includes spells at JP Morgan Chase and global leadership positions at UBS Investment Bank.

The airline also announced that current non-executive director Moni Mannings, chair of its remuneration committee will not be seeking re-election at airline’s  annual meeting on February 13 “to allow more time for her other commitments”.
