The annual Spring Festival of 2025 is shaping up to be a long and unique holiday for the Chinese people

According to a joint report by the China Association of Travel Services and online travel agency Tuniu, the average travel duration for package tour customers during the upcoming holiday is about 4.8 days. This is an increase from the 4.3 days recorded during the 2019 Spring Festival, the last festival before the pandemic.

  • Another report by Fliggy, a leading fonline travel agency, highlights that the destinations with the biggest growth in package sales this Spring Festival include Austria, Belgium, Hungary and Ireland – countries more than eight hours away by air.
