Travelodge has officially opened its new 59-room hotel in Bromley town centre, South East London. This addition, which welcomed its first guests on March 10, 2025, introduces the brand’s latest premium design, reinforcing Travelodge’s ongoing transformation and expansion strategy.

A modern and sustainable stay in Bromley

The London Bromley Town Centre Travelodge showcases the chain’s most significant brand evolution to date. The newly designed reception offers a welcoming atmosphere, while the next-generation rooms provide guests with enhanced comfort.

Environmental responsibility is a key focus for Travelodge, and the Bromley Mall hotel reflects this commitment.

The building has achieved an Energy Performance Certificate rating of B, incorporating LED lighting throughout and green roofs designed to support biodiversity.

Prime location and local impact

The hotel enjoys a strategic location, just a short distance from Bromley Civic Centre, the Churchill Theatre, and other local attractions.

Its proximity to Bromley Train Station provides convenient access to central London in just 30 minutes. Additionally, the new hotel has created 19 jobs, supporting the local economy.

Expanding Travelodge’s presence in London

This opening is part of Travelodge’s ongoing expansion across the UK and Europe.

“We’re thrilled to welcome guests to our newly opened London Bromley Mall hotel, which is the latest addition to our growing network in London. We continue to seek new locations and currently have four more hotels under construction in Beckenham, Chiswick, Stratford, and Upminster.” – Steve Bennett, Chief Property and Development Officer at Travelodge

Currently, Travelodge operates over 600 hotels across the UK, Ireland, and Spain, including 83 hotels in London, with a total of 10,000+ rooms and around 4,000 employees in the capital.

The company is also expanding through redevelopment, recently acquiring an office building in St Paul’s, which is set to be converted into a 95-room hotel, pending planning approval. With this latest opening, Travelodge continues to strengthen its footprint in the UK, its core market, along the recent opening of Colchester Northern Gateway Travelodge.
