Singapore: Hilton will debut the NoMad hotel brand in Asia Pacific with a 173-room property set to open in Singapore in early 2027.

The hotel, developed in partnership with property and hospitality firm UOL Group, will be located in the Orchard Road district and is part of Hilton’s strategy to grow its presence in the luxury lifestyle segment.

Last year, Hilton acquired a controlling share in The Sydell Group, which created the NoMad brand. Its international flagship opened in London in 2021.

Andrew Zobler, founder and CEO of The Sydell Group, said: “The signing of our first hotel in Singapore marks an exciting introduction of our brand to Asia Pacific. This debut is just the beginning as we seek out the best destinations to introduce NoMad, with several deals in advanced discussions in destinations in North America, Europe and beyond.”

UOL Group chief executive Liam Wee Sin said: “We are excited to introduce NoMad to Singapore as part of our placemaking vision for Orchard Road, alongside UOL’s upcoming private and exclusive preview of its luxury residential project, UPPERHOUSE at Orchard Boulevard, and the award-winning Pan Pacific Orchard, forming a trio that will contribute to the transformation of Orchard Road.

“NoMad makes guests feel like locals in the world’s most sought-after neighbourhoods, and the Orchard Road precinct offers that luxury lifestyle space,” he added.

Alan Watts, president, Asia Pacific, Hilton, said: “This signing adds a new and significant dimension to Hilton’s phenomenal growth story in Asia Pacific, as we gain a critical foothold in the luxury lifestyle space. With demand for high-end, experience-driven stays surging across the region, the luxury gateway of Singapore offers the perfect backdrop to debut NoMad’s uniquely local luxury hospitality – and will be the first of many cities in Asia to welcome the brand.”

Hilton has a pipeline of more than 150 hotels in Asia Pacific. Upcoming openings include Waldorf Astoria properties in Sydney, Tokyo and Kuala Lumpur, and Conrad Hotels & Resorts in cities across China and Japan.

Highlights:

• Hilton will open its first NoMad hotel in Asia Pacific in early 2027, in Singapore’s Orchard Road district.

• The 173-room hotel is being developed in partnership with UOL Group.

• Expanding NoMad in Asia aligns with Hilton’s plan to expand to 150 luxury hotels across the Asia Pacific region.
