Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has appointed Emma Darby as the Global Vice President of Spa & Wellness to oversee spa and wellness operations across the brand’s 92 properties worldwide. Darby, with over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, brings significant expertise from her previous leadership roles at Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Group, and most recently, as Chief Operating Officer at Resense Spas.

A holistic approach to wellness at Fairmont

Darby’s new role focuses on driving holistic wellness strategies across Fairmont’s global portfolio. Her expertise in wellness, combined with her leadership in previous roles, aligns closely with Fairmont’s commitment to offering unique wellness-driven guest experiences. As the spa and wellness landscape continues to evolve, her priorities will include enhancing guest experiences, implementing innovative wellness strategies, and maintaining operational excellence at each property.

With 29 new hotels in the pipeline, including Fairmont Red Sea in Saudi Arabia and Fairmont Hanoi in Vietnam, Fairmont is committed to reinforcing its global presence. Darby’s leadership will contribute to the expansion of the wellness offerings in key destinations, ensuring that Fairmont remains at the forefront of wellness innovation.
