NUMA Group has appointed Stephan Thoennissen as its new Chief Operating Officer, a move that aligns with the company’s current scale-up strategy across Europe. Stephan Thoennissen, who previously held senior positions at Berlin Brands Group, joins with experience in growing digital-first businesses and managing complex operations across online platforms.
In his new role, Stephan Thoennissen will focus on expanding NUMA’s operational footprint, supporting organizational development, and reinforcing the company’s presence across key distribution channels, including Online Travel Agencies such as Booking.com. He is also expected to oversee the establishment of new local entities in NUMA’s target markets.

It needs to be noted that this appointment follows a year of strong development of NUMA across Europe. In 2024, the group reported over 1 million nights served and more than 100% revenue growth year-over-year. With operations now in 36 cities across 15 countries, NUMA has set ambitious financial goals for 2025, including €80 million in additional revenue and approximately €50 million in gross operating profit.
