SAii Resorts, the free-spirited lifestyle brand from S Hotels and Resorts PCL, is pleased to announce the relaunch of SAii Laguna Phuket,  a beloved resort located within the exclusive Laguna Phuket complex.

The resort has undergone a remarkable transformation, celebrating over 30 years of hospitality with an extensive renovation, that introduces a fusion of traditional Thai lagoon-inspired design with contemporary luxury and sustainability at its core.

The Inspiration

The redesign draws inspiration from traditional Thai lagoon houses, paying homage to the local culture and legacy while integrating SAii’s distinctive modern branding. The renovation features a thoughtful balance between aesthetics and functionality, offering guests a seamless blend of style and convenience.

From the preserved timberwork in the reception and dining areas to the refined accents of the new rooms, the hotel is designed to offer a modern retreat infused with historical charm.

“With this renovation, we wanted our guests to experience the legacy of SAii Laguna Phuket by incorporating elements of the past into the present. The design honours the original Thai lagoon house style while weaving in modern aesthetics through innovative materials and cutting-edge technology,” said Bart Callens, Cluster General Manager at SAii Laguna Phuket and SAii Phi Phi Island Village.

Sustainability in Mind

Sustainability is a cornerstone of the new design. A variety of eco-conscious practices have been integrated, including the reuse of original materials such as timber throughout the resort.

Motion sensors, window and door sensors, and environmentally friendly paints contribute to reducing the environmental footprint while ensuring guest comfort. These efforts are complemented by insulated materials that improve energy efficiency, further enhancing the resort’s commitment to sustainability.

Rooms, Restaurants & Technology

SAii Laguna Phuket’s renovation introduces a suite of tech-forward amenities, catering to the needs of today’s travellers by offering both convenience and connectivity. The newly designed rooms feature modular Twin/King configurations, international and USB-C charging points, and a fully digitalised room service system. The resort’s state-of-the-art room control system allows guests to effortlessly manage lighting, air conditioning, and power, ensuring a hassle-free experience where luxury and comfort come together seamlessly.

The renovation enhances not only the aesthetics but also the overall guest journey. Rooms feature open floor plans with freestanding bathtubs, offering panoramic views from anywhere in the room, including the bathrooms.

The public spaces are thoughtfully designed for relaxation, with the bean/Co counter bar offering freshly brewed coffee and delectable baked goods during the day and transforming into a vibrant cocktail bar in the evenings. Enjoy stunning ocean vistas from the outdoor deck while sipping on a handcrafted cocktail. The Terra & Mar restaurant, an all-day dining venue, offers the best of land and sea cuisine. Every dish is made with fresh local ingredients, and whether you’re enjoying a signature SAiiSational Breakfast or exploring a curated selection of global delights, each meal is a celebration of authentic flavours.

The design concept, rooted in Phuket’s rich culture, includes collaborations with local artisans. Notable features include handwoven thread artwork behind the reception counter and bamboo signage throughout the resort. Locally sourced plates serve as unique art installations, creating a sense of place and community that resonates with guests.

Wellness

With wellness as a growing focus in hospitality, SAii Laguna Phuket has integrated wellness elements into its design. Accessible rooms are strategically located close to the lobby and parking areas, while oversized showers have replaced traditional bathtubs to offer a more open, relaxing environment.

The new SAii Spa also promises a holistic experience, designed to promote both physical and mental well-being. Highlight treatments include the SAii Signature Touch, a 90- or 120-minute journey combining guided breathing, Thai stretching, deep tissue massage, and a heated sand compress to ease tension. The 150-minute Kho Rituals offers a coconut scrub, body wrap, and warm poultice massage for full-body rejuvenation. The Phuket Retreat, available for 120 or 150 minutes, features a pineapple body wrap and deep massage, offering relaxation and revitalisation, with options for couples.

SAii Laguna Phuket’s renovation anticipates the evolving trends in hotel design, from sustainability and wellness to the seamless integration of technology. By offering flexible spaces that adapt to guest needs, the resort is positioned as a leader in luxury hospitality, catering to both leisure travellers and families seeking relaxation and exploration.

Enjoy special early booking rates starting from THB 3,400++ per night, including daily gourmet breakfast for two.
