Capella Hotels and Resorts has opened its first property in Macau, marking its debut in the UNESCO World Heritage city through a partnership with Galaxy Macau.
The soft opening of Capella at Galaxy Macau offers stays and previews of its food and beverage concepts exclusively by invitation to select guests. The launch is positioned as a significant addition to the region’s luxury hospitality scene.
Designed by Paris-based Moinard Bétaille, the hotel features a tropical jungle theme inspired by the green hills and water elements of Macau. Each of the 17 floors blends the city’s character with lush, immersive environments that reflect its adventurous spirit and history. The lobby includes an immersive digital art wall portraying the theme with a contemporary approach.
The property has 95 accommodations, including suites and Capella Penthouses. Features include light-filled balconies, private infinity-edge pools, outdoor lounges, sunrooms, hidden winter gardens, butler pantries and screening rooms.
“This strategic partnership positions Capella as the pinnacle of luxury hospitality within Galaxy Macau’s integrated resort,” said Clive Edwards, SVP, operations, Capella Hotel Group.
