Palé Hall Hotel, a five-star country retreat in North Wales on the edge of Snowdonia National Park, has launched a new collection of immersive experiences for guests.

This includes ceramic workshops in a new pottery and art studio as well as guided wine tastings in its subterranean wine cellar.

The new offerings are part of the rejuvenation of Palé Hall, overseen by owners Anthony and Donna Cooper-Barney as they look to expand the estate.

New experiences at Palé Hall include the recently launched The Hearth private dining room, complete with a chef’s station and dedicated sommelier service. Once the working kitchen of the original 1871 house, the space has been transformed into a dining room, retaining its original cast iron hearth and now reimagined with bespoke wallpaper created exclusively by Liberty James Studio.

The Hearth by Candlelight event series will see head chef Ed Marsh host eight guests for an “intimate” multi-course tasting menu each season, showcasing seasonal produce from the estate’s gardens.

Meanwhile, the newly opened wine cellar at Palé Hall offers rare vintages and fine labels from across the globe, including bottles from Welsh vineyards. Curated by the hotel’s sommelier, the space hosts guided wine tastings and wine-and-cheese evenings. Each gathering is complemented by artisan Welsh cheeses and locally sourced charcuterie.

Elsewhere, the hotel’s fine art and antiques studio now houses the pottery studio, where ceramicist-in-residence Jo-Anna Duncalf leads small, mindful workshops. Guests can work at the wheel or by hand to shape, decorate and glaze their own pieces, with colour palettes inspired by the surrounding gardens.

In addition, Palé Hall now offers guided clay pigeon shooting sessions for couples, small groups, or corporate incentives.

For the first time in its history, Palé Hall will also introduce a luxury fitness studio and treatment rooms to enhance its wellness offering. The new gym will feature state-of-the-art NOHRD equipment and host a variety of classes.

Finally, its new whisky and cigar lounge will provide a “warm, wood-panelled retreat” with soft leather chairs, offering a curated selection of whiskeys. Premium cigars will also be available for guests to purchase.
