De Vere has raised more than £100k for its charity partners at its inaugural gala dinner, held at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London in July.
Around 400 guests attended the midsummer-themed event at the historic Covent Garden venue. Funds were raised for the British Heart Foundation, Hospitality Action and the Willow Foundation through ticket sales and an auction featuring art, experiences and other donated items.
The top auction lot – a sculpture by artist Ed Elliott – sold for £6k. Elliott has collaborated with De Vere on a solo exhibition currently showing at De Vere Beaumont Estate in Old Windsor, following its launch at De Vere Tortworth Court.
Laurie Nicol and Alan Corlett, co-chief executives of De Vere, said: “We are incredibly proud of the success of our inaugural Charity Gala Dinner. Raising over £100k for these outstanding charities is a remarkable achievement, and we are so thankful to our guests, team and partners who made the night possible.
“The evening was more than just a gala, it was a celebration of purpose, generosity, and community, reflecting our shared belief that business should be a force for good for our guests, our people, and our planet.”
The three beneficiary organisations include the British Heart Foundation, which funds research into heart and circulatory diseases; Hospitality Action, which supports hospitality workers facing hardship; and the Willow Foundation, which provides personalised experiences for seriously ill young adults.
