Brightstar Hospitality opens Garner hotel in Birmingham

Brightstar Hospitality has opened a new Garner brand hotel in the Acocks Green area of Birmingham, one of the first Garner hotels to launch in the UK.  

Formerly the Bridge House Hotel, the property has undergone an “extensive” refurbishment of its rooms and public areas.

The 51-bedroom hotel features a bar, restaurant and flexible meeting spaces for up to 100 delegates.

Located adjacent to Acocks Green train station, the hotel is 15 minutes from the city centre, 5.5 miles from Birmingham airport and seven miles from the NEC, with secure on-site parking. Other nearby attractions include Utilita Arena, Birmingham City Football Club and Cadbury World. 

Lucy Kovacheva, general manager said: “We are delighted to open our doors to the public following our striking makeover. The Garner brand suits our hotel perfectly and will be a wonderful addition to the local area. We look forward to welcoming both business and leisure travellers to experience warm hospitality at our charming new hotel.” 

CEO of Brightstar Hospitality, Nikhil Gupta, added: “Garner Hotel Birmingham South East is a hidden gem located in a peaceful yet conveniently accessible area of the city. We’ve taken great pride in elevating the property to meet the high standards expected of an IHG hotel, reflecting Garner’s signature modern aesthetic, and we’re excited to welcome our guests.”

Brightstar Hospitality currently operates 23 hotels around the UK, with several more in the pipeline alongside a number of longer-term developments.
