Spa Vea at Vea Newport Beach has announced the appointment of Michael Jastrzebski as director of spa, overseeing operations at the 14,000-square-foot wellness facility on the Southern California coast.
The resort, which opened in 2022 following a major renovation, offers 14 treatment rooms, a private saltwater pool with cabanas, and a menu of facials, massages and body treatments for guests and visitors.
Jastrzebski was previously spa manager at Alila Ventana Big Sur in California and spa supervisor at Four Seasons Hotel Austin in Texas. He began his career as a professional ballet dancer, an experience he said informed his understanding of physical wellness and body preservation.
Jastrzebski said: “I am honoured to step into this role and continue shaping Spa Vea as an essential part of the resort experience. Spa Vea is a distinct pillar of wellness in Orange County. Our goal is to offer a serene sanctuary that complements the vibrancy of the resort.”
Seasonal treatments are available alongside the standard menu, with upcoming offerings including the “Fall into Bliss” package featuring a pumpkin and apple enzyme facial, and the “Winter Wrapsody” treatment combining body exfoliation, a facial and massage.
Day passes for non-residents provide access to the spa’s facilities, including a eucalyptus steam room, dry sauna, cold water sole revival, and saltwater pool.
Vea Newport Beach is co-owned by Lyon Living and Eagle Four Partners. The property’s redevelopment introduced new coastal-inspired guest rooms, three dining concepts, expanded event space and a high-performance fitness centre.
