UK: Mark Clinton has been appointed general manager of Mollie’s Manchester, the first city-centre location for the brand when it opens on 8th December.
Clinton brings more than 20 years of experience to Mollie’s, having previously held senior roles at Whitworth Locke, Ducie Street Warehouse, and Refuge by Volta, Kimpton.
He said: “I’m delighted to join Mollie’s in Manchester. The brand is unafraid to be different, delivering experiences, while putting people at the heart of everything we do. I can’t wait to bring that energy to the city and create a team and environment that feels truly special.”
Mollie’s Manchester is housed in the Old Granada TV Studios. It offers 128 rooms across five floors, ranging from classic doubles, twins and bunk rooms to studios and several suites.
On the sixth floor, there are 23 bedrooms designed specifically for Soho House members, ranging from “cosy” rooms to large suites with living space. This floor also includes a private apartment with an open-plan living room with kitchenette, dining table and lounge area, along with a connecting second bedroom.
Amenities include a Soho House gym on the first floor, featuring a free weights area, studio space, and steam and sauna – all opening onto a balcony. A ground-floor diner will seat 110 and private dining for 30.
Elsewhere on the ground floor, the lobby combines a bar, grab-and-go F&B, and coworking space. A suite of private workspaces will feature meeting rooms and lounges available for exclusive hire.
Downstairs, at Mollie’s Studio IV, an open-plan cocktail bar will host live music and entertainment. The space includes a private-hire green room, VIP bar and snug, and an outdoor heated terrace.
It marks the first city-centre property for the brand, following road-side motel-and-diner sites in Oxfordshire and Bristol.
