Global travel intelligence company, Riskline, has named Suzanne Sangiovese as the new CEO.

Having joined the company in 2010, she has worked across various roles in her time, most recently as director, travel and technology.

She succeeds Kennet Nordlien, founder and former CEO, who will now move into an executive chairman position.

In her new role, Suzanne will be responsible for driving the company’s strategic vision, enhancing financial performance and leading long-term growth initiatives.

She hopes to bring a “transformational leadership” to the role, inspiring innovation, fostering collaboration, and driving strategic change to position Riskline for long-term growth and industry leadership.

Sangiovese has pledged Riskline to grow its reputation within new markets in the next five years.

This appointment sees the former director become one of a few female leaders in the travel sector, as a GBTA global survey of over 600 global business travel professionals revealed that women represented 67% of travel managers and buyers, and accounted for 57% of travel supplier and travel management company (TMC) professionals.

Despite this, only 15.6% of travel tech leaders are female. Riskline hopes this move will see it become a trailblazer among the industry, providing equal opportunities for all.

Sangiovese said: “It’s an exciting time for both myself and Riskline. Coming from a family of entrepreneurs, stepping into this role feels like a natural fit for me, and I’m honoured to lead the team into its next chapter.

“Over the past 14 years, I’ve taken on a variety of roles in different business functions within the company.

“This experience has given me a unique insider perspective and has prepared me to guide Riskline through a period of high growth and innovation. I’m deeply grateful to our founder and Executive Chairman, Kennet Nordlien, for his trust and encouragement.”

She added: “His vision has built a strong foundation, and I’m committed to honouring that legacy as we continue to evolve and thrive.”
