BWH Hotels has strengthened its presence in the UK with the acquisition of seven independent hotels, marking a significant step towards achieving its goal of adding 100 properties over the next five years.
Recent acquisitions in key locations
The recent acquisitions include a mix of properties across different segments. Among them are the 100-room Best Western Sheffield City hotel and the 37-bedroom Best Western Ebbw Vale hotel, which features an on-site restaurant and bar.
The company also expanded its luxury portfolio with the addition of the 32-bedroom Forty Seven hotel in Manchester, which includes Asha’s Restaurant and Peterman Cocktail Bar, and the 36-room Velvet Hotel Bar and Brasserie, now part of its WorldHotels Crafted collection.
Expanding luxury and distinctive offerings
In addition, the group acquired the Kings Arms hotel in Christchurch, now part of the WorldHotels Distinctive collection, as well as the 41-bedroom Lakeland Kendal hotel in Cumbria and the Casa hotel in Yateley, Hampshire, both joining the Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western.
Long-term growth strategy for the UK market
“We know just how tough the market is for hoteliers right now and in times like these, hotels need more than a brand, they need a partner who can help turn pressure into progress. That’s exactly what we’re here to do for these brilliant new additions.” – Robert Alley, Brand Development Director of BWH Hotels Great Britain.
BWH Hotels operates in over 100 countries with a portfolio of 4,200 hotels. The company continues its expansion strategy in the UK, aiming to reach 20,000 rooms across the country by 2029. With a growing portfolio and continued investment, BWH Hotels is positioning itself as a key player in the UK’s hospitality sector.
