Fairmont Breakers Long Beach has appointed André Brose as its new general manager. With over 25 years of international hospitality experience, Brose steps into this role following the property’s multi-million-dollar transformation.

“To lead the revival of such an iconic landmark is both a privilege and a responsibility,” said Brose. “Fairmont Breakers Long Beach is more than a hotel – it’s a symbol of timeless hospitality, restored with care and reimagined for today’s luxury traveler. From our culinary offerings to the guest experience at every touchpoint, we’re proud to deliver something truly extraordinary to Long Beach.”

Growing up in Germany, Brose began his hospitality career in the food and beverage sector at Hotel Adlon Kempinski in Berlin, followed by front office and leadership positions at Le Royal Méridien Hamburg. His career has taken him to global destinations across Europe and North America with various executive roles at luxury hotels, including the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa Edinburgh, The St. Regis San Francisco and The West Hollywood EDITION.

“Fairmont Breakers Long Beach introduces an unprecedented level of luxury to the region while reflecting the coastal city’s vibrant, approachable personality,” he added. “Every detail of the property has been curated with purpose, honoring its storied legacy while setting a bold course for the future. From the restored mailbox in the lobby to the return of our renowned restaurant Sky Room, this is a hotel where history and modern hospitality meet.”

Before joining the property, Brose served as general manager at Lido House, an Autograph Collection Hotel in Newport Beach. In addition, he has been a two-time recipient of the Starwood Hotels & Resorts President’s Award.

Originally built in 1926, the hotel is located in downtown Long Beach, California. The property features 185 guestrooms and suites, a rooftop swimming pool, a luxury spa and two signature dining venues: Nettuno and Sky Room.
