It’s proposed Laurence Berman joins as new independent director
Travel subscription platform eDreams ODIGEO has announced that its Board of Directors has proposed the nomination of Laurence Berman as a new Independent Director.
Her appointment is subject to approval by the shareholders at the upcoming Annual General Meeting, which is scheduled to take place next month, on September 27, 2024.
Her nomination, proposed by the Remuneration and Nomination Committee after a thorough review, comes as the company enters the final leg of its 3.5-year strategic roadmap, which has seen it transform into the world’s largest travel subscription business.
Berman has demonstrated strategic delivery, leadership, and vision in her previous positions, including vice president of Disneyland Paris and managing director of the holiday firm Jet Tours.
She has previously served on the Boards of prominent hotel groups, including Veranda Resorts and Valtur.
Berman has also held positions on the Global Advisory Board of the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and at the leading technology consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton.
She currently serves as a non-executive Board Member at PortAventura World, one of Europe’s largest amusement and leisure parks.
The French national also holds a Master’s Degree from ESSEC Business School and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
It’s hoped with its expanded Board, the business will be better equipped to drive further growth and achieve new milestones.
