CoStar, TE Slightly Adjust Growth Projections in First U.S. Hotel Forecast of 2025

Economic factors such as low unemployment, reduced inflation, consumer spending, and solid business investment create a favorable travel environment, despite potential risks from Trump Administration policies. Forecasted stabilized labor costs and slight TRevPAR growth may improve profit margins, with F&B departments expected to see high growth rates.

CBRE Survey Finds Additional Capital Will Be Allocated to U.S. Hotels in 2025

More than 75% of investors favor value-add strategies, with a preference for full-service hotels (58%) and upper-upscale (52%) and luxury segments (30%). Challenges include high capital and labor costs, but competition from alternative lodging is a minor concern (3%).

SHR tackles hotel ‘cart abandonment’with Embedded Booking Engine

JLL Outlook Projects Increase in Global Hotel Investment Volume

Private equity was the top hotel buyer, with increased activity from high-net-worth individuals, REITs, and newcomers. The luxury and select-service sectors are likely to be favored in 2025. Key future trends include a focus on lifestyle hotels, the growth of branded residences, emerging markets like India and Saudi Arabia, and the strategic use of AI in hotel operations.

Rising Results: Groups Confirm Their Dynamism in 2024

🏖 Compagnie des Alpes reported €261.8 million in revenue for Q1 2024/25, a 30.7% year-over-year increase; ski resorts division up 19.7% with a 2% rise in skier-days; Distribution & Hospitality division increased by 25.4%. Theme Parks revenue grew by 37.5%, with attendance up by 17%. Now owns 86.4% of Urban Group. Targets approximately 10% EBITDA growth for the fiscal year. CapitaLand Ascott Trust (CLAS) saw a 6% revenue increase to S$423.2 million in H2 2024, with a 6% rise in REVPAU and occupancy rate up to 81% from 77% last year. CLAS portfolio valuation increased by 1% or S$72 million.
