FB Society, the portfolio restaurant company, has named Christine Magrann as president and chief operating officer of its 12-unit Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar and the four-unit Mexican Sugar concepts, the company said this week.

Dallas-based FB Society, which also owns Haywire and The Ranch restaurants, said Magrann recently led Dallas-based Makeready’s portfolio of hotels and restaurants.

“FB Society is built on a relentless passion for creating unforgettable experiences, and Christine embodies that spirit,” Jack Gibbons, CEO of FB Society, said in a statement. “She has a track record of shaping brands that truly connect with people, and her leadership will be instrumental as we continue to push boundaries and redefine hospitality. We have exciting things ahead, and Christine’s expertise will be instrumental in bringing those ideas to life.”

She worked with such properties as The Adolphus in Dallas, The Ryder Hotel and Emeline in Charleston, S.C., and The Halcyon in Denver, Colo.

“FB Society builds brands that are not just restaurants, but destinations— places where guests feel a true connection,” Magrann said. “My focus will be on deepening those connections through enhancing the guest experience, elevating menu innovation, and expanding our presence in new markets. FB Society has an incredible foundation, and I’m excited to build on that energy to create something even more special for our guests and teams.”

FB Society also owns Son of a Butcher, Legacy Food Hall, and Assembly Hall.
