The 338-room hotel, situated in Levallois-Perret, offers a strategic location just northwest of Paris, with convenient transport links to central Paris. The acquisition aligns with Barceló’s broader international development strategy, as the group aims to expand its portfolio in key European markets.
The transaction, valued at €70 million, was executed following a competitive process led by CBRE, which advised on the sale. The deal involved the acquisition of 100% of the shares in the company owning the hotel, marking a significant step in Barceló Hotel Group’s continued growth. The property will now be part of the group’s upscale Occidental Hotels & Resorts brand.
“The acquisition of this hotel at the gates of Paris is a particularly significant milestone for Barceló Hotel Group, as it marks our entry into the French market, which is a strategic destination for our group due to its immense tourism appeal and its importance within the European market. We are very proud to take this new step as part of our international expansion plan and to offer the Barceló experience for the very first time in one of the most iconic cities in the world.” – Raúl González, CEO EMEA of Barceló Hotel Group
Located in the Front de Seine business district, the hotel benefits from proximity to corporate offices and is well-positioned to attract both business and leisure travelers. The nearby metro line offers quick access to Paris’s key tourist attractions, making the hotel an attractive option for a diverse range of visitors. The hotel offers comprehensive MICE facilities with nearly 700 m² of meeting space, along with a variety of leisure amenities, including a fitness center, wellness space, and 105 parking spaces.
“Europe is a strategic region for the development of our group due to its immense tourism potential. At Barceló Hotel Group, we remain constantly attentive to opportunities, whether they require a direct investment from us or result from agreements with third parties. With this new opening, we bring our portfolio to 108 hotels on the continent, marking another step forward in our goal to integrate urban properties in strategic destinations for the group, in line with our expansion plan.” – José Ramón Álvarez-Cervela Rodríguez, Director of the Europe Zone at Barceló Hotel Group
This acquisition follows a series of investments by Barceló Hotel Group, which, in 2024, allocated nearly €400 million toward acquiring and renovating properties across Europe. With this move into Paris, the group now operates 108 hotels across the continent, continuing its expansion strategy in key urban destinations.
