New leadership to drive growth in the DACH region

Michal Reschke brings over 13 years of experience in hotel development, project feasibility, and strategic consulting. Prior to her appointment, Reschke served as Director of Development & Project Feasibility at H World International / Steigenberger Hotels, overseeing development in the DACH and Benelux regions.

During her tenure, she led the international feasibility team and played a critical role in implementing growth initiatives.

Tim Zeichhardt, Vice President of International Hotel Development for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, expressed his enthusiasm about Reschke’s appointment:

“We are very pleased to welcome Michal to our development team. Her extensive experience and knowledge of the DACH market will be key in further advancing our growth in the region.”

Michal Reschke’s background includes roles at Der Touristik / Rewe Group, where she worked on joint ventures and large-scale hotel projects, and at Feuring Hotelconsulting, where she gained expertise in site analysis, brand strategy, and contract negotiations. Her international experience also includes positions at Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts and Starwood Hotels & Resorts.

Strong commitment to the DACH market

Marriott International sees significant expansion opportunities in the DACH region, especially with the growing demand for reliable midscale offerings in both primary and secondary locations. The company also reports an increasing interest in conversion projects for brands like Four Points by Sheraton, Four Points Flex by Sheraton, and Series by Marriott.

Currently, Marriott’s portfolio in the DACH region includes over 160 hotels with more than 32,000 rooms across 20 brands. Some of the strongest represented brands are Moxy Hotels (38 hotels), Courtyard by Marriott (24), and Autograph Collection (19). As part of its long-term growth strategy, Marriott is focusing on expansion through new projects and a dynamic development pipeline.

The planned growth is evident, with notable projects such as the addition of eight Four Points Flex by Sheraton hotels, six Moxy Hotels, and four additional Autograph Collection properties in development.
