The Beaufort Arms Hotel, a 16th-Century coaching inn in the centre of Raglan, Monmouthshire, has been put on the market with a freehold asking price of £1.5m.

Located on the high street, the hotel includes 15 en-suite bedrooms, a brasserie, traditional bar, lounge restaurant and function room housed in a converted chapel.

Meanwhile, a south-facing terrace at the front overlooks the surrounding town and nearby Raglan Castle.

Accommodation is divided between the main hotel building and a separate Coach House, with interiors ranging from medieval-inspired to New England-style. Family suites and two-bedroom serviced apartments are also available.

Additionally, the hotel is located close to local wedding venues such as Sant Fraed House and Cefn Tilla Court, as well as Raglan Golf Club.

The property is being marketed by specialist business property adviser Christie and Co.

Sam Roberts, senior agent at Christie and Co, said: “The Beaufort Arms Hotel presents a unique opportunity for a new buyer to take the reins of one of the area’s most recognised hotels.

“The hotel has garnered many accolades over the years, including ‘Best Kept Public House in Gwent’, and has four-star inn status by Visit Wales. It has an established reputation and longstanding presence in Raglan, along with a diverse revenue stream with income from accommodation, dining and events.”
