InterContinental Dublin, part of IHG Hotels and Resorts, has announced the promotion of John Lynch to the role of deputy general manager.
The Dublin native joined the five-star hotel three years ago, having previously worked as director of rooms and director of operations.
A graduate of Shannon College of Hotel Management, Lynch completed a placement in the United States with Marriott Hotels before taking up senior positions at The Shelbourne and Conrad Hotels.
Nicky Logue, general manager of InterContinental Dublin, said: “It gave me great pleasure to promote John to deputy general manager, a position he has worked hard to attain. John is highly committed to upholding the highest five-star standards and is exceptionally guest-focused.
“I am confident that he, along with our outstanding team, will continue to build on the success of the hotel in the years ahead.”
Located in Ballsbridge, Dublin, the 215-room hotel was opened in 2001 originally under the Four Seasons brand, before it was rebranded as part of IHG in 2015.
The property benefits from two acres of gardens, multiple restaurants and lounges, and on-site parking with EV charging. It also offers wellness facilities such as a spa and a 14-metre indoor pool.
