Property developer Caudwell has appointed Dorchester Collection to manage residential and lifestyle services at its £2bn development 1 Mayfair.
The hotel group, which operates The Dorchester on Park Lane, will oversee full property management, concierge and hotel-style amenities at the 24-residence scheme that is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2027.
According to Caudwell, the arrangement will allow residents of 1 Mayfair access to what is described as “Luxury Services by The Dorchester”, including priority reservations at the hotel’s restaurants and bars, such as Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester, The Grill and China Tang, as well as spa facilities.
Located on South Audley Street, near Park Lane and Hyde Park, the development will feature lateral apartments, penthouses and townhouses alongside staff suites and residents’ lounges. Amenities will include a 20-metre swimming pool, gym, spa, basement parking and 24-hour security and valet services managed by Dorchester Collection.
The project has been designed by US architect Robert A.M. Stern, with interiors for communal spaces by Paris-based designer Juan Pablo Molyneux.
The residences will offer a range of in-home and a la carte services including housekeeping, catering, in-residence dining, grocery delivery and event planning, managed by The Dorchester’s service team. Residents will also have access to personal assistants, pet care and travel arrangements.
John Caudwell, founder of Caudwell, said: “1 Mayfair is London’s most prestigious residential address, designed to be a leader in global luxury, so we have appointed the internationally acclaimed Dorchester Collection to manage 1 Mayfair.
“It is part of our vision to ensure that the exceptional amenities and private residences that Caudwell has created are operated to the highest standards of elegance and polished professionalism for which the Dorchester Collection is world renowned.”
Caudwell also noted the development had been designed “like a world-class, top-tier luxury hotel”, with hidden staff corridors, service lifts and dedicated back-of-house areas allowing discrete movement of service teams.
Christopher Cowdray, company president of Dorchester Collection, added: “Dorchester Collection is delighted to have been selected as the management company of 1 Mayfair, one of the most exceptional residential addresses in the world. Our dedicated team at The Dorchester will offer a certain way of life, curation and meaningful discernment few others can match as part of our legendary culture.”
