No.14, the acclaimed destination for Asian Fusion Decadence, founded by restaurateurs Ahmet and Mehmet Kabayel, has achieved remarkable international success, earning the title of Best Europe Restaurant/Bar at the 2025 Restaurant & Bar Design Awards, the world’s most influential competition celebrating design excellence in hospitality.
No.14 which was designed by TNN Studio, was also named Regional Category Winner for Europe: Surface Interiors, distinguishing it among the most award-winning hospitality environments in Europe.
Judged by a panel of 40 leading global figures in design, hospitality, and lifestyle, this year’s awards attracted over 1,100 entries from 61 countries. The 2025 ceremony, held at EPIK Dubai (UAE), recognised the world’s most creative restaurant and bar designs celebrating innovation, craftsmanship, and cultural expression.
“To receive not only the Europe regional win, but also the title of Best Europe Restaurant/Bar, is a remarkable achievement,” said Ahmet Kabayel, Co-Founder of No.14. “Our vision was to bring the sophistication and depth of next-level dining to Hertfordshire pairing exquisite cuisine with an atmosphere that feels both luxurious and welcoming. These awards are a true reflection of our team’s dedication and our partnership with TNN Studio in creating something extraordinary. With many locals curious to experience something truly special, No. 14 honours the building’s legacy while introducing a fresh and inspiring new chapter.”
The award-winning concept is the result of TNN Studio’s transformative redesign of a Grade II-listed building into a bold, multi-level Asian Fusion Decadence destination with a completely new contemporary identity.
Led by Tulin Naltekin, Founder and Creative Director of TNN Studio, the team crafted an interior defined by sculptural geometry, refined natural materials, and an inviting spatial rhythm. Across all four floors, circular and curved elements encourage interaction and movement, reflecting the spirit of Bishop’s Stortford’s community and creating a cohesive environment where Asian fusion meets fine dining in a distinctly modern way.
Tulin Naltekin, Founder and Creative Director of TNN Studio, said:
“For No.14, the brief was to create a restaurant that met the local appetite for Asian cuisine while evolving seamlessly into a late-night venue. We blended Asian references with the elegance of the Art Deco era, trusting the inherent beauty of natural stone and burl wood to guide the design language. Most of the marble was sourced from our home country Turkey, a personalised element we wanted to embed in the project. For me, this award represents a milestone, proof that clarity, craftsmanship, and a strong design identity can truly resonate. It’s incredibly rewarding to see how guests and staff now inhabit and experience a space that was crafted with such intention.”
At No.14, guests are invited to embark on a refined, multi-sensory journey where culinary artistry meets design excellence. Every dish pays homage to Asian traditions, reimagined with contemporary finesse and crafted using the finest seasonal ingredients, a testament to the restaurateurs passion for bringing the elegance of city dining to their local community. The restaurant is housed in a cherished historical building located right in the heart of the town, a place of deep significance to the community.
