InterContinental Indianapolis Opens Following Property Redevelopment

🏡 InterContinental Indianapolis, an IHG Hotels & Resorts luxury property, opened in downtown Indianapolis near Monument Circle and the Indiana State Capitol. Housed in the historic Illinois Building, the hotel underwent a $120 million restoration and offers 170 guestrooms and suites, two dining concepts by Chef Craig Baker, a rooftop bar, 5,000 square feet of meeting space, and a Penthouse Suite. Keystone Group completed construction in 2024, reviving one of Indiana's 10 most endangered landmarks. The hotel features historic architecture, modern amenities, and commissioned art with Indiana connections.

Global Table by Sonesta Becomes Company’s Newest Food & Beverage Program

🍷 Sonesta International Hotels Corporation launches "Global Table by Sonesta" to debut in 2025, featuring Wines of Rioja as its inaugural partner. From April to June 2025, nearly 40 Royal Sonesta and Sonesta Hotels & Resorts will offer Rioja wines, coinciding with the region's 100th anniversary. Events include tastings and dinners at select locations like Washington DC, Boston, St. Louis, Chicago, San Francisco, Houston, Toronto, Columbus, White Plains, and Miami Beach. CoStar: U.S. Hotel Industry Reports Mixed Yearly Comparisons

🏨 ARLINGTON, Virginia—U.S. hotel industry's mixed performance in the week of February 16-22, 2025: Occupancy at 60.3% (↓2.7%), ADR at $159.90 (↑2.5%), RevPAR at $96.49 (↓0.3%). Los Angeles led with occupancy ↑10.4% to 74.8% and RevPAR ↑16.7% to $147.34. New Orleans ADR jumped ↑10.9% to $197.41. Las Vegas faced the steepest declines with occupancy ↓14.3% to 69.6%, ADR ↓8.4% to $170.83, and RevPAR ↓21.4% to $118.86.

Accor, Booking.com Report Finds Sustainable Traveler Motivations

Recommendations include highlighting sustainable practices, balancing appeals to pleasure and comfort, empowering guests, and helping maintain home-like sustainability. Data was obtained via interviews, surveys, and behavioral experiments with travelers from the US, Germany, France, and India, and utilized eye tracking and facial analysis technologies. The partnership aims to craft clear communications to engage guests in hotels' sustainability journeys.

AHLA Advocates for Hospitality Industry, Emphasizes Economic Contributions

Kabani Hotel Group Announces Sale of Holiday Inn Express & Suites Florida City
