Killington Mountain Lodge Names Waterford Hotel Group Operator

Rio Hotel & Casino Joins Destination by Hyatt, Completes First Phase of Renovation

CoStar: Holiday Calendar Shift Impacts Weekly U.S. Hotel Industry Performance

🏨 In the U.S. hotel industry, through Nov. 16, 2024, occupancy rose by 1.5% to 63.3%, ADR fell by 1.1% to $154.96, and RevPAR increased by 0.4% to $98.11, from the same period in 2023. Tampa led with occupancy surging to 87.2% (up 30.3%), ADR at $176.73 (up 17.4%), and RevPAR at $154.16 (up 52.9%), driven by Hurricane Milton. Las Vegas and San Francisco saw sharp RevPAR declines of 47.1% to $136.28 and 27.8% to $139.74, respectively, impacted by F1 calendar change.

IHG Hotels & Resorts Names HotelKey as Company’s Tech Platform

🔔 IHG Hotels & Resorts selected HotelKey as its approved cloud-based property management system for limited-service brands in the U.S. and Canada. The announcement came during the 2024 IHG Americas Investors & Leadership Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. HotelKey's platform will enhance performance for IHG brands such as Holiday Inn Express and avid hotels. Deployment at 250 IHG properties is planned by the end of the year, with an aim of 1,500 properties by the end of 2025.

Choice Hotels Opens First New Construction Property Using Lobby in a Box

Developer Ray Patel and Parth Hospitality designed the hotel, with construction by Thor, Jr. Inc. and architecture by Tymoff + Moff Architects. The hotel features over 330 solar panels and was partially financed through an SBA loan for energy efficiency.

The Shepherd Hotel Columbia Vista Breaks Ground

HHP Acquires Dual-Branded Hyatt Hotel in Charleston

Built in 2015, it features 16,000 square feet of retail and office space, a 398-space parking garage, 8,600 square feet of meeting space, and a rooftop bar. Renovation and repositioning plans are underway. Avion Hospitality will manage the hotel.

Waldorf Astoria New York to Open Lex Yard in 2025
