Drury Hotels Announces New Hotel in Lincoln, Nebraska

🏨 Drury Hotels, with over 150 properties in 27 states, is constructing a new Drury Plaza Hotel in downtown Lincoln, Nebraska, near the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and less than 10 minutes from Lincoln Airport. Reservations are open for February 2026 and beyond. The hotel will offer 210 guest rooms, 2,400 square feet of meeting space, and amenities like free hot breakfast, 5:30 Kickback, Wi-Fi, business and fitness centers, an indoor pool, spa, dining options, and a guest market. The property will create about 55 jobs in the Lincoln area.

Preferred Hotels & Resorts Welcomes 19 New Member Properties

🏠 Preferred Hotels & Resorts added 19 new properties to its global portfolio from January 1 to March 31, 2025. The expansion includes Andronis Luxury Suites in Santorini, Greece, with 39 suites and villas, Boar’s Head Resort in Charlottesville, Virginia, featuring 168 rooms, and Hotel Convent de la Missio in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, offering 27 guestrooms. Other properties span across 12 countries, including NÓR Hotel & Spa in São Roque, Brazil, and The Archipelago in Yilan, Taiwan China. CEO Lindsey Ueberroth highlighted the growth as part of their diverse luxury experiences for travelers. Additional properties joined from cities like Budapest, Milan, Salò, and Charleston.

AHLA Statement on House Passage of the Hotel Fees Transparency Act

🏨 The U.S. House of Representatives passed the bipartisan Hotel Fees Transparency Act of 2025, introduced by Representatives Young Kim (R-CA-40) and Kathy Castor (D-FL-14). The American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA) praised the decision and urged the Senate to follow suit. AHLA has advocated for federal fee-transparency bills, including the 2024 House-passed No Hidden FEES Act and the Senate’s Hotel Fees Transparency Act. This legislation aims to establish a federal standard for price advertising in the lodging industry to ensure consumers see all-in upfront pricing.

Hilton Reports Q1 2025 Results

Sabre Enters Into Agreement to Sell Its Hospitality Solutions Business Unit to TPG

Marriott International to Acquire citizenM Brand

Peachtree Group Secures Approval for Four Regional Centers, Expanding EB-5 Investment Capabilities
