Wyndham and Soliteight Announce Plans to Bring Super 8 Brand to Spain and Portugal With 40 New Hotels

📌 Wyndham Hotels & Resorts signed an exclusive development agreement with Soliteight Hotel Projects SA to open 40 Super 8 hotels in Spain and Portugal over the next decade. The first Super 8 will debut in Leiria, Portugal, in Q4 2027. Spain received a record 94 million international visitors in 2024, while tourism in Portugal also grew significantly. Spain's GDP rose by 3.2% in 2024, and RevPAR surged by 142% since 2019. The Super 8 brand addresses a 10% market gap in budget brand penetration in Iberia.

Flamingo Resort & Spa Joins the Tapestry Collection by Hilton

CoStar: Mixed U.S. Hotel Industry Performance Results in March

🏨 U.S. hotel industry in March 2025 reported mixed performance: Occupancy slightly down by 0.3% to 63.6%, ADR (Average Daily Rate) rose 1.1% to $161.78, and RevPAR (Revenue Per Available Room) increased 0.8% to $102.89, compared to March 2024. Miami saw the highest occupancy at 83.2%, despite a 0.4% drop. Detroit and Minneapolis had the lowest at 54% and 55%, respectively. Top 25 Markets outperformed others in occupancy and ADR.

Peachtree Group Receives USCIS Approval for EB-5 Funded SpringHill Suites by Marriott Development

🏠 Peachtree Group received I-956F approval from USCIS for the SpringHill Suites by Marriott construction in Bryce Canyon, Utah. They provided $16.95 million in construction financing for the 127-room hotel, expected to complete by mid-2025, 10 minutes from the national park. This is the firm's third hotel development with I-956F approval after Boone, North Carolina, and Palmdale, California projects. Peachtree's EB-5 program, launched in 2023, offers foreign investors green cards for $800,000 investments creating at least 10 full-time jobs.

PM Hotel Group Announces 2024 Annual Sustainability Report

🌱 PM Hotel Group in Chevy Chase, Maryland, released its seventh annual sustainability report in 2024. The report shows the company's progress in environmental stewardship, community impact, and social responsibility. Initiatives included assembling 2,100 hygiene kits, providing an estimated 105,000 hand washes, 88,200 tooth brushings, and 44,100 showers. They bagged 2,500 pounds of food for the North Texas Food Bank, equaling 5,000 meals. PM Hotel Group created 2,000 hours of employment for those facing work barriers and installed EV chargers at ten properties, with plans for 45 more in 2025. The Windsor Suites in Philadelphia planted 5,000 trees in Rwanda, while Airlie in Northern Virginia maintained a National Wildlife Federation habitat certification. Hilton BWI Airport's composting partnership diverted over 26,000 pounds of organic waste. During Earth Week 2024, various hotel teams engaged in sustainability activities like tree planting and promoting organic products.

Driftwood Capital Closes $1.2 Billion Hospitality Portfolio Consolidation Across 18 Assets

🏨 Driftwood Capital closed a $1.2 billion consolidation of 18 Hilton, Marriott, and Margaritaville-branded hotels across 10 states, totaling 4,203 keys. The portfolio, which has seen nearly $370 million in renovations and development, includes the 520-key Margaritaville Lake Resort Lake of the Ozarks, the 353-key Marriott San Diego Mission Valley, and other key properties in high-growth markets such as California, Texas, and Florida. The transactions form part of Driftwood's strategy for building high-quality hotel portfolios and represent over $2 billion in recent recapitalizations.

Staypineapple Marks Earth Day With Meaningful Progress in Sustainable Practices

G6 Hospitality Adds Over 150 Corporate Clients in 2025

The company adds about 50 new corporate accounts monthly and focuses on industries and small-medium businesses with annual bookings of $15,000 to $1 million. Natson Hotel Group, a key franchisee, saw a doubled corporate revenue in Q1 2025 compared to the previous year.
