Canada: Lender Aareal Bank AG has provided refinancing to Carbonleo, a Canadian real estate development and management company, for the Four Seasons Hotel Montreal.
Germany-based Aareal Bank acted as arranger, facility agent, and security agent for the transaction.
Carbonleo is a private Canadian real estate development and management company founded in 2012 by Andrew Lutfy. The company focuses on mixed-use and experiential real estate development, particularly on cityscape projects.
The 169-room, mixed-use Four Seasons Hotel opened in 2019 and is located in the Golden Square Mile of Montreal. It has been awarded Green Key Global’s highest distinction – a five-key eco-rating – and also offers high-end retail as well as exclusive private residences.
