The historic Hand Hotel in Llangollen, North West Wales, has been sold to international investment firm Zeltgelst Consulting Pte Limited off a guide asking price of £1.9m.
The business will be operated by Compass Hospitality with immediate effect.
The sale marks a new chapter for Hand Hotel, which features 58 individually styled en suite bedrooms, a public bar, a bistro-style restaurant, private dining facilities, and conference space.
The Hand Hotel has served as a cornerstone of the Llangollen community for generations.
Martin Davis, Hotel and Leisure partner at Graham and Sibbald, who oversaw the sale, said: “It was great to work with our clients, Louise Holland and her colleagues on the sale of the Hand Hotel.
“Having owned the hotel for 25 years, it was a big decision for Louise and her Co Directors to sell this profitable business. However, the outcome is a testament to the continued demand for profitable, high-quality hospitality investments in the UK’s most scenic and vibrant locations.”
Louise Holland, former managing director and part-owner of the Hand Hotel, added: “We have owned the Hand Hotel for 25 years. When we decided to sell the Hand Hotel, we sought out quotes from the major agencies. Graham and Sibbald’s honesty and industry insight convinced me they were the right fit. Martin Davis brought serious buyers to the table without inflating expectations and provided support and clarity at every stage.
“His perseverance and expertise made all the difference, and I would highly recommend their services to anyone considering a share sale or business sale. We wish Compass Hospitality and the team at the Hand Hotel all the very best for the future and look forward to seeing the Hand Hotel continue to thrive under Compass Hospitality’s stewardship.”
