Centara Leads the Fight Against Climate Change in the Maldives

🌊 Centara Hotels & Resorts, a leading hotel operator in Thailand, is combating climate change in the Maldives through sustainable initiatives at The Atollia. Since opening in November 2024 and April 2025, solar panels have generated 2,323,125 kWh, saving 645,318 liters of diesel and reducing CO2 emissions by 1.96 kilotons. Recycling efforts prevented 22 tonnes of waste from reaching landfills, while 15,933m³ of wastewater was recycled. These efforts align with their goal for net-zero emissions by 2050.
