Founded in 2017 in Australia, the brand is known for stylish, affordable hotels with social hubs and modern amenities.

🏨 Whitbread is expanding in Manchester, with a ten-storey Premier Inn on Rochdale Road set to open in autumn 2026, featuring 157 rooms. Following its site acquisition in February 2024 and construction start in October 2024, the hotel will be Whitbread's second largest in Manchester city centre. Partnering with GMI Construction Group, the project emphasizes sustainability, aiming for renewable electricity from 2025. Whitbread plans to reach 125,000 rooms across the UK.

🏨 Vasilakis SA and Marriott International, in partnership with SWOT Hospitality, have opened JW Marriott Crete Resort & Spa in Marathi, near Chania, Crete. This 160-room luxury resort spans 100 acres, featuring six dining venues, a spa, and family-friendly amenities. Designed by Block722, it emphasizes sustainability with geothermal and solar systems. Conveniently located near Chania and Heraklion Airports, the resort aims to redefine luxury in Greece.

🏖️ Kimpton Hotels, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, plans to open its first resort in Portugal, Kimpton Atlântico Algarve, in 2025. Located on São Rafael Beach in Albufeira, the resort will feature 149 rooms and suites with interiors by Nini Andrade Silva. The property offers a 1,800 sqm Wellness Hub and diverse dining options. IHG operates 19 hotels across six brands in Portugal, with 66 hotels open in the Iberian Peninsula and 26 more in development.

🏖 Shinta Mani Mustang, located in Nepal’s Lower Mustang, opened in August 2023 with 29 suites designed by Bill Bensley. The architecture by Prabal Shumsher Thapa uses local stone, blending with the Himalayan landscape. Featuring Nepalese handcrafted interiors, the resort incorporates sustainable practices by upcycling materials.
