Champagne Lanson: between heritage and modernity

Lanson, established in 1760 and active in over 80 countries, launched a "reconquest plan" in 2020, focusing on marketing and relations. Cellar master Hervé Dantan, since 2013, introduced Black Réserve cuvée with 50% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay, 15% Meunier, aged five years, including 45% reserve wines and 70% Grand and Premier Crus. Champagne is shifting towards a tasting wine, paired with meals, supported by about twenty chef ambassadors. Lanson emphasizes quality in the hospitality sector, partnering with iconic hotels and restaurants, and is involved with the Hospitality Awards.

Meliá Hotels International: Expanding leisure with strategy and sustainability

The company boasts 3,200 keys across 21 hotels in Albania and plans for expansion in Croatia, Bulgaria, and Latin America, including Buenos Aires. They maintain a sustainable, quality-focused expansion with long-term partnerships, such as a 40-year collaboration in Bali. Asset distribution in their portfolio is 14-16% owned, 30% leased, and the majority managed or franchised. Meliá empowers women through training, mentoring, and leadership opportunities, with sustainability being a strategic priority for over a decade. Recent expansions include new hotels in Malta, Lisbon, Mallorca, Costa Brava, Punta Cana, Vietnam, Southeast Asia, Pattaya, and Bali, along with a significant presence in the Middle East, including five hotels in Riyadh. The development team comprises around 25 global professionals, including 20 developers.

Iberostar Hotels & Resorts: Strategic growth and sustainability in hospitality

🏡 Iberostar Hotels & Resorts, led by Chief Commercial Officer Finn Ackermann, expands with new openings in Aruba and Tunisia and targets Asia and Africa for future growth. The hospitality brand opened in Aruba before Christmas and plans two more hotels there. In Miami, two hotels launched under the Waves segment mark a return to the U.S. after a two-year hiatus. The Europe expansion includes the Iberostar Selection Es Trenc in Mallorca with 145 rooms. Growth in Tunisia results in eight hotels, up from five three years ago. Ackermann highlights selective expansion without pressure for numerical growth. Iberostar's sustainability efforts include eliminating single-use plastics, reducing waste to landfill by 56% in 2023, responsibly sourcing 90% of seafood globally, and setting a carbon neutrality target for 2030. The brand also focuses on employee well-being, filling 24.4% of job vacancies internally in 2023, and training over 200 young professionals by the end of 2024. Revenue in the last year reached €2,180 million, an 8% increase, with plans to invest €210 million in new hotels and asset transformation by 2025.
