BWH Hotels GB reports record revenue and portfolio growth in 2025

A Black Friday offer grossed over £1m. Email marketing grew by 13%, driving £2m revenue. BW Rewards membership hit 63.4 million globally with GB revenue at £58.6m, up 16%. The group added 18 hotels to its portfolio, marking a transformative year.

Amano plans eight new hotels as portfolio set to more than double

Whitbread secures Kingsway site for new 200-room hub by Premier Inn

The 45,000 sq ft office, bought for an undisclosed sum, will transform into around 200 rooms post-lease expiry in April 2026. Since February 2025, Whitbread has committed over £100 million on four London office conversions, adding nearly 1,000 rooms. Whitbread's vision is to expand budget hotel capacity in central London with compact, affordable accommodations.

Whitbread submits plans for new 104-bedroom Premier Inn in Carlisle

Hotel Indigo Chester appoints Neil Aitken as head chef

Waldorf Astoria Admiralty Arch unveils signature restaurants

Smyth will lead Coreus, focusing on British seafood in the former First Sea Lord's residence, featuring a Whiskey and Seaweed bar. Boulud’s Café Boulud will offer French cuisine with a terrace overlooking The Mall and Buckingham Palace. The hotel will feature 100 rooms and suites and 17,500 sq ft of residences, located in a Grade I-listed landmark.

PPHE extends Park Plaza London Riverbank loan to 2030

💵 PPHE Hotel Group has refinanced its loan with Aareal Bank for Park Plaza London Riverbank, extending maturity from June 2026 to June 2030. The £95.8 million facility carries a fixed interest rate of 3.248% until June 2026; post-2026, 85% moves to a 5.72% fixed rate. The loan includes no amortization and maintains loan-to-value and debt service covenants. PPHE's portfolio is valued at £2.2 billion as of December 2024.

Hospitality insolvencies ease to 857 in Q3

💸 In Q3 2025, 857 hospitality businesses, including hotels and restaurants, became insolvent in the UK, a slight 2.7% decrease from Q2's 881. Monthly insolvencies remain over 275. The sector faces ongoing challenges with rising staff costs and consumer spending pressures.

Work starts on Premier Inn conversion at Phoenix House in Vauxhall

🏠 Work has commenced on converting Phoenix House, Vauxhall, London into a 180-room Premier Inn. Whitbread signed a 30-year lease with Lambeth Council in March 2025, with planning consent in July. Construction is underway, aiming for an early 2028 opening, creating about 25 jobs. Located opposite Vauxhall Underground Station, the site is part of Whitbread's London expansion. The 10-storey, 7,469 sqm building was previously used by Lambeth Council. Strip-out is by Redhammer Demolition, ending Easter 2026.

North Devon holiday cottages brought to market at £2m
