Accor lifts profit guidance and announces €100m share buyback

💰 Accor upgraded its 2025 EBITDA forecast to 11%-12%, up from 9%-10%, thanks to resilient Q3 performance. The group, with over 5,700 hotels, reported a 3.1% revenue rise in management and franchise. Q3 revenue was €1.37bn, with luxury rising 0.2% and midscale falling 1.1%. RevPAR in Europe/North Africa dropped 4.6%, while the Americas grew 7.1%, and the Middle East/Africa/Asia-Pacific rose 2.7%. Accor opened 77 hotels, adding 11,200 rooms, and plans a €100m share buyback.

Surya Hotels begins first phase of £25m Theobalds Estate refurb

🏨 UK hotel group Surya Hotels is renovating Theobalds Estate near Waltham Cross, previously owned by Birch, which closed in November 2023. The £12.5m acquisition includes plans for 140 bedrooms, three restaurants, a bar, and 11 conference rooms. The completed Ridings Restaurant and Rooms is now open. Oliver Brown leads the project, which will feature a wellness club and restored outdoor Lido. Surya owns 13 UK hotels, expanding rapidly since 2009.

RSM: Hospitality under further pressure as wages rise to record high

💸 Average weekly earnings in the UK's accommodation and food services sector hit £357.05 in August 2025, rising from £346.52 in July, marking a 6.4% year-on-year increase. Payrolled employees increased from 2,085,155 in August to 2,111,295 in September. Vacancies decreased from 78,000 to 74,000. Regular pay growth was 5.9% in this sector, compared to the public sector's 6.0%. The hospitality industry faces pressure from rising wages and seeks government support in the upcoming Autumn Budget.

Leaf Hospitality to manage Hampton by Hilton Wigan

PoB Hotels adds two new properties to collection

Founded in 1982, PoB represents over 50 independent UK hotels. CEO Kalindi Juneja emphasizes the properties' unique experiences and PoB's commitment to quality.
