Leaf Hospitality to manage Hampton by Hilton Wigan

🏨 Leaf Hospitality signed an agreement to manage and operate a 144-bedroom Hampton by Hilton Wigan, part of the Fettlers development, transforming the former Galleries shopping centre site. The project, led by Cityheart and Wigan Council, includes a new market hall, over 400 homes, and a public square. The six-storey, 5,800m² hotel, designed by JM Architects and built by Galliford Try, will open in late 2027, employing over 40 staff. This marks Leaf’s 10th hotel signing.

Countrywide Hotels to manage DoubleTree by Hilton Swindon

PoB Hotels adds two new properties to collection

🏨 PoB Hotels added Mar Hall Hotel Golf and Spa Resort near Glasgow and Bishopstrow Hotel and Spa in Wiltshire to its luxury portfolio. Mar Hall, a Grade A-listed mansion, spans 240 acres and underwent a £20m renovation. Bishopstrow, a Georgian country house, offers 36 unique rooms and a spa. Founded in 1982, PoB represents over 50 independent UK hotels. CEO Kalindi Juneja emphasizes the properties' unique experiences and PoB's commitment to quality.

Waldorf Astoria London Admiralty Arch unveils senior leadership hires

Skye’s Coruisk House celebrates AA 4-star rating

Claridges posts £5.4m loss amid refurb costs

📈 Five-star hotel Claridges, during the year ending 31 December 2024, reported a £5.4m loss, down from a £7.2m profit the previous year, due to major refurbishment. Revenues increased to £136.9m from £119.3m. Operating profit fell to £26.4m from £35.1m, with finance costs rising to £31.3m. After a deferred tax credit, the net profit was £2m. Average staff numbers were 824, with wage costs totaling £28.2m.

BLS UK Hotels acquires the Trefeddian Hotel in Aberdyfi

Macdonald Hotels reports 10% rise in coffee sales

Amano to open its second London site with Waterman acquisition

🏠 Amano Group acquired Waterman House, 41 Kingsway, on September 29, 2023, to convert it into a 70-room boutique hotel. Located near Covent Garden, the 25,000 sq ft building has been vacant for nearly 10 years. This acquisition, part of a partnership with Excellion Capital, brings Amano’s London investment to approximately £150 million. The project will feature guest accommodation and a ground-floor food retail unit. The building was formerly owned by Regal Hotels International Holdings.
