Two Hands Hospitality expands its Australian concept to Denver

  • Linnea Covington
  • 20 August 2024
🍞 Henry Roberts, CEO of Two Hands, expanded the Australian cuisine concept to Denver's Berkeley neighborhood, in a 3,000-square-foot space inside The Lantern. Two Hands Café first opened 10 years ago in NYC's Nolita, later reaching Austin, Nashville's suburb of Franklin, and Montauk on Long Island. The menu features Australian favorites and local, seasonal ingredients with dishes like Goan-Style Coconut Curry ($19) and a brunch with lemon-poppyseed waffles ($17). The restaurant maintains a dietary guide for food allergies and sensitivities and sources ingredients from places like Stockwood Farms in New York's Hudson Valley.

  • 25 July 2024
🍺 Chidensee Watthanawongwat, Kitiya Mokkarat, and Supatta Banklouy formed Sawasdee Hospitality Management in April to introduce less familiar Thai dishes to the U.S. They operate Soothr in East Village and Sappe in West Village, New York City. Sawasdee plans to expand across the country, including Los Angeles and Miami. They aim for an upscale Thai dining experience, diverging from typical takeout menus. Sappe offers skewers from $20, dook fu salad at $29, and Crying Tiger for $22, while Soothr features dishes from $14 to $28, including dry Sukhothai noodles for $18 and massaman curry at $28. Sawasdee's next venture is introducing Thai barbecue hot pot in Manhattan.
