🏨 The Webster will debut in July 2026 with hotels in Covent Garden, London, and Times Square, New York, by Winter 2026. Located on Lincoln’s Inn Fields in London, it features curated spaces and events. The New York location honors the Webster Hotel's literary history. The design, by London-based Red Deer, embraces magical realism. Food and beverage highlights include Carmelina’s in London and Maison Premiere in NYC. Both locations offer cultural programs, promoting community engagement.

SpringHill Suites by Marriott Mesa Gateway Breaks Ground

🏖 Western States Lodging Management and Development (WSLMD) and The Boyer Company held a groundbreaking in Mesa, Arizona, for SpringHill Suites by Marriott Mesa Gateway. Scheduled to open in summer 2027 and located near Mesa Gateway Airport, the hotel will feature 127 suites, a complimentary hot breakfast, free WiFi, a lobby bar, an outdoor pool, and a fitness center. This development supports economic growth and caters to business and entertainment travelers.

Julie Desvaux is the new global marketing director for Nikki Beach Hospitality Group. Colm O'Brien was appointed managing director of Kimpton Miralina Resort & Villas Paradise Valley. Euan Taylor leads The Observatory Sun Valley, opening in June 2026. Lyle Worthington is the 2026 EU Operations Advisor for HFTP. Numerous other appointments were made across the hospitality industry.

AWH Partners Announces Acquisition of Hotel Trio Healdsburg

🏨 AWH Partners acquires Hotel Trio Healdsburg, a 122-key all-suite hotel, in Sonoma wine country for its Strategic Income Fund launched in late 2025. Opened in 2018, it's the second largest hotel in Healdsburg and the only Marriott-branded property in northern Sonoma. This marks AWH's second acquisition since June 2022. Hotel Trio will be operated by Spire Hospitality. The acquisition aligns with AWH's focus on growth in affluent leisure destinations, supported by AI and tech investments in the Bay Area.

Lodging Econometrics: Global Hotel Construction Pipeline Reaches Record-High Project Count in Q4 2025

Dallas topped cities with 193 projects. India and Saudi Arabia showed significant growth. Renovations and conversions hit 3,777 projects globally. Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa showed notable increases. In 2025, 2,371 hotels opened, with 325,985 rooms. Projections for 2026 include 2,617 new hotels (389,175 rooms).

IHG Reports Full-Year 2025 Results

📈 IHG Hotels & Resorts reported its 2025 results with key highlights: Global RevPAR up 1.5%; total revenue at $35.2 billion, up 5%. They opened a record 443 hotels, adding 65,100 rooms.
