Knowland: New York Ranks in Top Markets for First Time Since April

📈 Las Vegas led the top 25 markets in event volume growth with 36% in August, followed by New York at 30.2%, marking New York's first appearance on the list since April 2024. The average event space used for these markets was 3,435 square feet with 124 attendees. Louisville, Kentucky dominated secondary markets with a 104.6% increase, utilizing an average of 3,084 square feet for events with 115 attendees. Key drivers included sports tourism, national association meetings, and weddings.

Jennifer Cottgias becomes general manager of The Maven, after leaving Courtyard Portland City Center. Damien Hirsch takes on general manager role at JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek Resort & Spa. Louis Shapazian is named general manager at Keswick Hall, bringing 18 years of experience. Derek H. Stutz becomes general manager of Carter Creek Winery Resort & Spa with 15 years in the industry. Ildebrando Salazar joins Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa as director of sales and marketing. Driftwood Capital Closes Latest Fund for Development on Florida’s Space Coast

📌 Driftwood Capital announced the initial closing of its Driftwood Florida Space Coast Portfolio, LP for hotel assets in Florida's Space Coast. The fund consists of four beachfront properties, including brands like Marriott, Hilton, and IHG. Upon completion, these will represent 11% of all Space Coast hotel rooms and 62% of beachfront inventory. The portfolio will feature over 1,200 guestrooms, 166,000 square feet of meeting space, and 21 food and beverage outlets on 36 acres. The Space Coast expects 111 rocket launches in 2024, with projections of over 300 by 2028, increasing tourism and business travel. Driftwood has exceeded $1 billion in its hotel development pipeline, with $500 million worth of projects under construction or starting in 2024.

My Place Hotels of America Introduces My Place 3.0 Prototype, New Produce Enhancements

My Place continues to offer a 87-unit and a 64-unit prototype with upgrades. The My Place Business Suite, a new 470 square feet room option for business travelers or small families, is set to boost average daily rates (ADR) and contribute to yield management.

Dolce by Wyndham Miami Breaks Ground

Loews Hotels & Co Selects WorldVue as In-Room Entertainment Provider

Graduate Brand Officially Joins Hilton Honors Program
